My VARK questionnaire results:
Visual: 9, Aural: 4, Read/Write: 7, Kinesthetic 9
After completing the VARK questionnaire, I had discovered my learning style is Visual and Kinesthetic.
Visual learners usually learn by image, diagrams, videos, graphs and flow charts, but they don’t like reading.
Kinesthetic learners usually learn by carrying out a physical activity, they will remember things by going back in their minds to what their body was doing, rather than sit and listening to a lecture or watch a demonstration, and they struggle to pick information up by reading/ listening to things, the area they usually do well will be science doing experiments, sport and drama.
Therefore I learn better by being part of the activity and learn by looking at images, on the other hand it said Kinesthetic learner struggle to pick up information by reading and Visual learner don’t like reading, which I disagree because my result shown that I have 7 in Read/Write, and I also learn by reading my notes and writing words out again and again.
Overall I agree with the questionnaire result, that I am a Visual and Kinesthetic learner. I have score lowest in Aural, the reason of Aural had the lowest score, could be sometime I stop listen or think of other thing when the talk or discussion go on too long, which is the area I will need to improve on, by paying more attention when other people are talking.
